On Monday 7th March, the College competed in the Regional Final of Debating Matters at Cancer Research UK in Cambridge. The team had won the qualifying round which had taken place here at the College in October.
New Build Officially Opened!
The new College building was officially opened by Professor Sir Alec Jeffreys on Wednesday 9th March. The College also opened its doors to the public so they could experience the world class facilities that are available to our students.

Uganda Project handed Funding
£1,750 funding was given to Luton Sixth Form College by the Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation's London Luton Airport Community Fund.
Children in Need 12 Hour Bounce-a-Thon
Students and staff from Luton Sixth Form College took part in a 12 hour bounce-a-thon in aid of Children in Need on Friday 12th November. A range of ‘bouncy’ activities were on offer including trampolining, space hopper challenges and urban rebounding.
Sports participation hits an all time high
There are now more LSFC students taking part in competitive sport than ever before. Regular training sessions now take place on a Monday evening with external coaches, giving college sport a much more professional feel.
Year One Student Makes National Trials
Year one student, Tremayne Charles, has been selected to represent the East Region at the National Colleges Mens Football Trials.
End of an Era Celebration
The College celebrated the end of education in the old building on Thursday 8th July with an afternoon event for staff, preceded by a photograph which had all established current staff.
Ribbon Cutting Event
The College marked the completion and occupation of the new building by hosting a Ribbon Cutting event. This was hosted on the 2nd of July 2010.
