Bursaries of £1,200 to all students in the nominated vulnerable groups. This group covers students who are looked after, care leavers, in care of the Local Authority, those in receipt of income support, disabled young people in receipt of both Employment Support Allowance and Disability Living Allowance and independent students living in local authority-supported accommodation. The College will seek appropriate evidence from the student, for example:

A letter setting out the benefit to which the young person is entitled;
- Written confirmation of the young person’s current or previous looked-after status from the local authority which looks after them or provides their leaving care services or independent status.

All applicants will need to attach relevant supporting documentation to the application form.
Money can only be paid into an account in the student's name.
How much will I receive?
The College has been given a significantly reduced allocation from the government and the value of payments will depend on how many students qualify for the scheme. Funds are limited and cannot be released until you have enrolled. We recommend students apply as early as possible but cannot guarantee to support every application.
What do I need to do?
You must:
1. Download an application form and bring it to College complete with supporting documentation when you enrol. Guidlines on how to fill out the form is attached with the application form.
