Luton Sixth Form College Marks Level 3 Results Day with Pride and Reflection
Luton Sixth Form College is proud to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2025, who today received their A-Level and vocational results. This year’s outcomes reflect the continued commitment, resilience, and ambition of our students as they navigated the demands of fully reformed qualifications and national assessment standards.
A Level Results:
- Overall Pass Rate: The college achieved a pass rate of 93.7%, reflecting continued academic strength across a broad and inclusive curriculum.
- High Grades: 38.1% of A Level entry were awarded grades A*–B. While slightly lower than previous years, this result reflects national trends and the rebalancing of grade boundaries post-pandemic.
Vocational Qualifications:
- Overall Pass Rate: Students on vocational pathways achieved a strong 93.2% pass rate across all qualifications.
- High Grades: 47.4% of students achieved a Distinction or Distinction*, with several courses maintaining exceptional results — notably Applied Law and Biomedical Science.
Principal and CEO Altaf Hussain said:
“We are proud of every student who opened their results today. While this year has brought fresh challenges, it’s also shown the strength of our community — students, teachers, and support staff — working together with integrity and ambition. Our results remain strong, and we will continue to analyse outcomes to ensure we support every learner to achieve their very best.”
Mariam Hoq, Director of Curriculum, added:
“These results reflect more than just academic ability — they speak to the character, commitment, and resilience of our students. We are especially proud of the many young people who have exceeded expectations and are now progressing to university, apprenticeships, and employment.”
Luton Sixth Form College continues to be a leading provider of post-16 education in the region and remains committed to raising aspirations, improving outcomes, and delivering an outstanding student experience.
